Listen
We're supposed to have sunny days this coming week, and temps above freezing during the day -- hallelujah! -- and I'm pretty sure if I see a crocus pop up, I will faint dead away. Although the weeping willow trees are turning that anticipatory shade of yellow-green, which keeps me hoping.
I've been spending time with a new character for a new story, and her family situation intrigues me, but I'm not exactly sure what she wants, what she's fighting for or against, or what her issue is yet. It can be frustrating, knowing there's something waiting in the background, but not yet formed. Scenarios pop into my mind, stay a while and then fade away when they don't spark my imagination.
But the girl...she remains, which tells me there's definitely something going on.
I think I need to listen harder.
