This is a quick check-in because I'm neck-deep in the copyedited ORDINARY BEAUTY manuscript and am working to deadline. I'm excited about this book, the highs and the lows of it, and especially the determination, urgency and the search. Sayre, the main character, has guts, and I admire her for them. She's someone I can invest in and root for, and maybe you'll feel that way, too.

It's snowing, and it looks like it'll be snowing on and off for the next week or so. This is the kind of weather that makes me want to settle in and write, which is really good. I have a short list of ideas that are clamoring to be put down on paper, so once these copyedits are done, I'll start on the others.

There's a lot to look forward to. Time to rally.
