Eureka
I've done it.
I finally finished the revisions on my next book ORDINARY BEAUTY (June 2011), and boy, am I wrung out. Don't expect too much from this post because after 88,000 words, I don't have many logical ones left in my brain. It's a pretty intense book.
But I'm happy I made my deadline (although I could have fiddled with themanuscript forever, I think, always searching for just the right word, rhythm, flow) and if all goes well, I'll get one more crack at it during copy edits.
So, eureka. Whew. I'm beat.
And now it's time to play catch-up, and try to take care of all the people and things I neglected when I was holed up in the studio for this last month. The list is long -- you know who you are -- and I promise I'm trying, so dont give up on me yet.
Oh, and if you're in the area of the Mehoopany Library on December 10th at 9:30 in the morning, feel free to join the book club and me discuss HOW IT ENDS. It's free, fun and informal, and there's more info on my website.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
