On the Road Again

It was a gorgeous weekend up here, not hot, blue skies, leaves starting to turn red and gold, so on Saturday we jumped on my bf's Harley and took off exploring. The roads were perfect for riding, with no traffic and stellar scenery everywhere. I was glad I wore my chaps because some roads around the mountains were in shadows, and the shadows were chilly.

We headed up, up, up a mountain

and then up up up a dirt road with quite a drop on one side

And it was fun taking pictures while we were riding. The air was clean and fresh, and the view beautiful

So we hung out for a while, then came back down and went to lunch.

When we had finished we wandered out to sit in the sun by the creek and wouldn't you know it, the minute we got out there the church across the water started playing Rock of Ages with its bells, and it rang out over the air and was really peaceful and pretty.

We took another long ride just to soak up as much beauty as possible, and then on Sunday took the boat out onto the pond (a pond that to me looks more like a lake) and my bf fished while I kicked back and read Alice Hoffman's Incantation and watched the ducks and admired the last of the lily pad flowers.

Hope you guys had a beautiful weekend.
