Sisters
What a fabulous weekend!
My sister and her fiance Paul came out to visit and I couldn't have been happier. They brought a beautiful box of fat, ripe Jersey tomatos (thanks, Dad!) and her fiance is a stellar photographer and brought me a grand stack of images from my birthday shoot including this pic of my cat Etta (doesn't it look just like a high school graduation photo?)

and this funky one

and some jaw-dropping photo spreads (thanks, Vinnie!) and when we finished having muffins and coffee and chattering like crazy people, the four of us loaded into the truck and went out adventuring and exploring.
We went to a butterfly haven and hung out with monarchs

and other butterflies and then headed out to the woods to see what we could find.

and even did a little four-wheeling through some very rocky back roads. It was a great day and when we got back we fired up the grill, ate fresh cherries and blueberries and strawberries for dessert, and relaxed in lounge chairs, with my bf and Paul playing guitars, and me and Sue catching up, watching two does and a fawn stroll by about 20 feet away as if we weren't even there, and talking sister-stuff.
It was one of those days that went way too fast, because it was way too good.
