Feels Like Summer
Well, it's been a crazy couple of days. All good, but I've been zinging around like a pinball and it's good to stop and relax for a bit.
We took advantage of a beautiful day on Wednesday, and took the bike out for lunch and a long, lakeside ride where we ate ice cream and stopped to chat with baby ducks. Later that night, I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the YA Book Club at the Wyalusing Library (thanks, Cathy!) and enjoyed hanging out, talking about Such a Pretty Girl, Leftovers, How It Ends and eating pizza with Ashley, Skyanne and Kristen (in that order):

It was a blast, so thanks, guys!
Thursday we were out running around the whole day, had a lovely lunch - it was so hot I could't get enough to drink -- and when we got home Thursday dusk, exhausted, happy and with a whole truck of stuff to unload, some friends stopped by with this lovely Cecropia moth they'd found and knew I'd love to meet:

Me and this handsome dude share a fascination with insects and wildlife, and so we'll always have plenty to get excited about.

Now tell me, is that a moth, or is that a moth? Just gorgeous.
Today was planting day, perennials and vegetable seedlings, and I am sad to say that the sudden hot weather made my bok choy and my spinach go to bolt. The lettuce, however, is thriving, as are the peas and beans. So far, so good.
Now if only I could keep the deer away from my cherry trees and my roses.
