It's Spring, Baby

Despite the ridiculous ten billion inches of snow we had here the other day (in real measurement, maybe 3"), spring has arrived and here's proof of it:

1.  So far I've found 3 giant clouds of frog eggs floating in the pond, a trillion really big tadpoles and a fair assortment of really noisy brown frogs that float spread-eagle on the surface and do nothing but sing frog love songs all day long. Very cool.

2.  The vinca is blooming.

3.  The weeping willows are putting out tiny leaves.

4.  My cold weather seedlings have sprouted, and this tickles me no end. Vegetable garden, here we come.

5.  The robins are back, and everywhere.

6.  I can go barefoot outside again.

7.  I'm already thinking about my birthday, which is a big one this May, and so I've decided to spend every single day of the month doing at least one thing I love, or have always wanted to do, or that sounds like fun. Now I'm open for suggestions. Feel free.

8.  It's coming on time to do my seasonal website photo updates.

9.  I was thinking about gathering books for summer reading, and while I was shopping around, discovered that LEFTOVERS is on sale at BN and my newest book HOW IT ENDS is on sale over at Amazon.  Very cool.

10. I am working my butt off writing my new book, and trying to make my deadline.

So if you have any good ideas for my birthday month, nothing hugely expensive or too risky, like throwing myself off a skyscraper with a rubber band around my ankle, feel free to drop me a line at admin@laurawiess.com and let me know. Thanks!
