It's gray and raining, the temp is somewhere in the mid-40s, and it's the perfect day to go book shopping for Christmas. I'm very excited about this, as I love giving books as gifts.

Of course, I love receiving them, too. And adding new bookcases to the house.

We did some exploring yesterday before we went to dinner. There aren't a lot of pine trees in the immediate woods where I am, and I'm going to remedy that come spring. What is a woods without pine trees for shelter? Maybe it's the New Jersey in me, and cruising through the Pine Barrens on the way down the shore but this girl is a big fan of black and white pines. Hemlocks, too. Spruces. Scotch pines. There's more but I can't think of them right now.

Anyhow, off to book shop. Hope your rainy day is grand.
